Portl Wants to bring Holograms into reality

M is a touchscreen-displayed box

Science fiction always finds a way to become reality.

First, we captured lightning and harnessed its powers; then we developed cars, then smartphones. Standing among a few companies, Portl wants to now bring holograms into reality.

The M is a touchscreen-displayed box with an AI-enabled camera, sixteen gigabytes of system memory, and one terabyte of storage.

It offers a more immersive way to communicate, shop online, display artwork, or even provide telemedicine services.

Or, if you are looking for a grander experience,

If you want an M for yourself, you can reserve one for a refundable $100, with prices expected to match a quality television when it releases later this year.

Or, if you are looking for a grander experience and have the money, Portl also offers a life-size, seven-foot hologram box called Epic.

It includes a depth-sensing module, stereo speakers, microphones, and a 4K touchscreen display for the window through which you see the hologram.

Head to the comments and let us know if hologram technology is the future or just a gimmick. We love to hear your feedback!
